Plott Professorship in Gerontology

The Plott Professorship in Gerontology supports an internationally recognized professor who excels in research and education related to aging and longevity in the areas of molecular biology, neuroscience and immunology. The current Plott Professor is Rita B. Effros, Ph.D., Professor of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine, and a Member of the Molecular Biology Institute. Her current research interests include the aging immune system and its impact on infections and cancer.
