Pilot Research Grants

The Center on Aging awards "seed funds" to UCLA faculty members to launch new research projects on aging. The program allows for the collaboration of investigators to incorporate gerontological research from diverse disciplines such as public policy, economics, business, medicine, psychology, engineering, law, architecture, social work, biology, chemistry, and education.

The Pilot Research Grant program is funded by Montgomery Street Foundation, Siegel Life Project and individual contributions. The Montgomery Street Foundation provides support for a variety of UCLA research programs on aging. The Siegel Life Project, a privately funded research program at the Center on Aging, funds research on strengthening the immune system and basic mechanisms of aging.

If you are a UCLA faculty member and would like to be on our mailing list to receive grant announcements, please e-mail uclacoa@mednet.ucla.edu.
