The Center on Aging
promotes campus and community educational programs. Senior Scholars Program encourages life-long learning by inviting older adults to audit undergraduate UCLA courses. Retired Educators Mentor Program pairs retired educators with new teachers. Memory Training is a five-week course that teaches practical techniques for enhancing memory ability. Senior Resource Directory provides a comprehensive listing of services for older adults and caregivers in West Los Angeles and Santa Monica. Community Meetings feature outstanding speakers on successful aging and other topics of interest to older adults. Center on Aging Newsletter informs the community and UCLA faculty of the Center on Aging's programs, activities, and research advances. Guided Autobiography encourages people to look at their lives and appreciate all that they have been through, good and bad, and then move forward with optimism. Undergraduate curriculum in gerontology offers specialized courses and a minor in gerontology in the College of Letters and Science.
